Woodpecker Energy invests in producing oil and gas properties with realistic potential of value creation. We have established a well-defined selection criterion and built an experienced multidisciplinary team to identify, evaluate and acquire quality oil and gas assets. Once acquired, Woodpecker Energy manages the development, operation and production of properties.

Woodpecker Energy has developed, tested and refined its own oil property selection algorithm which is a formal way of describing precisely the series of tasks that make up the whole process from scouting to takeover.

Our acquisition focuses on properties located in well-known U.S. oil & gas land basins, with reduced technical and exploration risks where operational and cost efficiencies can increase profit margins.

We target proved undeveloped reserves, and reserves in production with real opportunities for growth; both conventional and unconventional.

We evaluate our acquisitions based on:
